THE BAND
Formed in January 2026, Phoenix Rose is a groove-driven band blending rock, funk, jazz and Latin into a sound that’s smooth, rhythmic, and easy to vibe to. Based in Bellingham, WA, Phoenix Rose creates original music that’s both laid back and infectious, perfect for setting a mood and keeping people moving.
While playing a few covers, the set list consists primarily of compositions by members of Phoenix Rose.
BEVERLY ROSE

A recent graduate of the Berklee School of Music, Beverly plays keys and sings. By day she teaches private music lessons and after school enrichment classes. By night she transforms into a musical menace, haunting local stages
DAVID VICKLUND

As a PNW-raised father of two, David earns his keep in diapers, dinners, lunches and lullabies, while his guitar gently works the night shift down at the local music factory.
DANNY MATTHEWS

Danny has been playing bass for 10+ years. A recent transplant from Arizona, he enjoys time off stage hiking, mountain biking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
STEVE LYONS

Steve puts his UC Berkeley degree in electrical engineering to good use by writing plays, running a local theatre company, playing music, and being a homemaker.
